There are many ways

of artistic expression. Some stunning playful 'artways' can be found at Blow de la Barra's Link-List (scroll down). Some examples are only for viewing like "Vai Avanti "others enjoy with interactive sceneries like "What remains is future".

If you prefer an more exciting trip, visit THE ZOOMQUILT II a collaborative art project. It's worth to wait until it's loaded.

Trolls, Dwarfs, Giants, Marsians…

Night Troll painted 2007 by expressive artist Doris B. Lambling

Doris B. Lambling: Outer Spaces Species - WeltraumwesenSince childhood I love fairy tales, fables, science fiction - stories full of fantasy, miracles, where everthing can happen. Though I always doubt, that all these creatures and adventures could be met in reality, I still love to dream about.

Imagine the unbelievable without censor and limitation is as easy as challenging. Growing up confronts us mostly with so many obstacles of ‘adult reality’. We learn to adapt so many rules, that we often forget the innocent mind we had as a child. Even, if we had more hard days at childhood than lucky ones, like me.

It’s an great experience to loose the fears about my own dreams. And now I find back to the joy of bearing strange figures just for fun. Everytime when such whimsical beings crawl out of my brush, they first astonish me. The more they grow, the more I accept them and want to fulfill them also with as many love as possible.

I’ve thrown away almost all images from my school-days and remained only a few. Two examples of them are shown on the right. On the left (sorry for the poor shot) is my actual lovely “Night-Troll”.

Send you some love

Did you know, that we’re having Valentine’s Day
tomorrow? Of course - you do! You can’t forget it, because tons of
commercials and advertisements are reminding you and you and me…

True love(ers) don’t need a special day in my opinion. Nevertheless
it’s gladding to send some love to everybody at every day, even at
Valentine’s Day.

Ready - Steady - Go!

Well, it was the 9th of July 2004, when I’ve decided to take out my over 30 years old watercolors. I’ve remained them since my school-days, seemingly my soul knew why… LOL.

Wanted to find out, if the painting method of Michele Cassou could work for me and if I would enjoy it.

My first attempts are only meaningful for myself, they always make me smile. It’s time to share the fun with you, my friends. :)

It doesn’t matter where from we start,
it only counts, where we reach.

Evening at the River

Evening at the River painted 2004 by artist Doris B. LamblingA funny scene at a river with a lovely mermaid and some sweet ghosts.
Found actually a fairytale by Manfred Kyber, which seems to relate
perfect to this scene. Enjoy
“Mummelchen” (German only).
